Wile E. Coyote stars in a cartoony 127 Hours

Forget Porky Pig's commanding performance in The King's Speech: The Internet has been all abuzz today over Wile E. Coyote's surprisingly poignant turn as Ralston from 127 Hours—you know, the guy who cuts off his own arm after it's crushed by a rock. This rogue, Looney Tunes-inspired version of the film is at times crudely animated, but pretty inventive with the way it subverts expectations of this parody. I mean, of course Wile E. Coyote's arm is going to get trapped under a boulder, and of course he's going to gruesomely saw it off. But the tactics he tries beforehand, and the silly wah-waaaah conclusion, makes this homage a worthy addition to the infinite Internet canon.

The little guy simply can't catch a break—perhaps in the upcoming parody where he invents a lucrative "social network" of sorts. You know, "Inception."
