So it’s with the holiday spirit in our hearts that we hope the show gets its act together for “A Gay Olde Christmas,” which transports the characters back in time and may be the shake-up the show so badly needs. Black-and-white film lover Gwen Ihnat will be on hand to review, so let’s raise a glass of holiday cheer to her having a gay olde time.

The holiday episode will feature “a clever take on hardboiled eggs and a deckle of beef” in the entrée round, which is just vague enough to sound worrisome.
