William Fichtner to co-star in, possibly jump on trampoline for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Needing to fill the 10 or so minutes of screentime not occupied by Megan Fox jumping on a trampoline, the Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has added William Fichtner, Deadline reports. As with so many Ninja Turtles casting updates, the specific nature of Fichtner’s participation and how it factors into the vast Ninja Turtles mythology that the movie will ignore in favor of Megan Fox jumping on a trampoline remains unknown, though Deadline calls it “a lead with iconic stature.” With all of the Turtles taken, and Megan Fox already cast in the crucial role of “Megan Fox jumping on a trampoline,” that mostly leaves the likes of Shredder, which could take advantage of Fichtner’s past movie turns as villains. There is, of course, always the possibility that Fichtner is playing the iconic Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., possibly while jumping on a trampoline.

In other Ninja Turtles news (a phrase that, yes, we are very proud to be typing as professional adults), in addition to recent photos of the Turtles in their bulky, pre-CGI form, all other lingering suspicions about the reboot have now been assuaged by these photos of Megan Fox wearing a yellow jacket. This confirms that her April O’Neil will also wear yellow, and therefore fans will have nothing to complain about.
