Win the new vinyl boxset commemorating The Virgin Suicides’ 15th anniversary

Though it premiered at Cannes in 1999, the indie drama The Virgin Suicides is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, having debuted in U.S. theaters on May 12, 2000. Until that point, Sofia Coppola was best recognized as Mary Corleone in the oft-maligned The Godfather: Part III, but her feature directing debut helped establish her as one of the most distinct voices in independent cinema. As with all of her films since, The Virgin Suicides exhibits Coppola’s excellent musical taste, here utilizing a haunting electronic score from French electronic duo Air.

To coincide with the film’s 15th anniversary, The A.V. Club is giving away a limited edition vinyl boxset featuring Air’s iconic score. The set includes the official Virgin Suicides soundtrack on red vinyl, two exclusive posters, a VIP laminate pass from one of Air’s post-show parties in 2000, a two disc set of yet unreleased live material that the band recorded at KCRW, and more. For your chance to win, simply send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Virgin Suicides.” Be sure to include your name and mailing address within the body of the email. U.S. entrants only. On Friday, June 19, we’ll select one winner at random from eligible entries and notify them via email shortly thereafter. You can listen to Air’s “Playground Love” and watch an official teaser for the boxset below.
