Another trailer for the upcoming punk rock siege flick Green Room dropped this morning, and this latest clip showcases the intensity of the film (a favorite at last year’s Fantastic Fest) better than any of the previous trailers. The sense of dread and terror is perfectly captured, without revealing (very much) of the brutal violence that writer/director Jeremy Saulnier and his team bring to the screen. This newest ad also hints at the sinister nature the big bad of the film, Darcy Banker, as portrayed by Patrick Stewart. (The former Captain Jean-Luc Picard is not necessarily known for his villainous roles, despite the one-two punch of Conspiracy Theory and Masterminds in 1997.) Stewart brings a quiet intensity to the role, but despite his brilliant turn, he also never outshines the impressive young cast.
Green Room hits theaters April 15th.
