Woody Allen says he would cast Michelle Obama in one of his movies

Should Michelle Obama ever tire of force-feeding apple slices to your innocent children, there’s an offer for another, less fascistic hobby on the table: Woody Allen tells the British TV series Daybreak that “if I was in a room with Michelle Obama, and I thought she was right for a part, I wouldn't hesitate to ask her.” The question came about, naturally, because Woody Allen recently cast French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s wife Carla Bruni as a museum tour guide in Midnight In Paris, and—despite reports that it took Bruni dozens of takes to get the simple act of “walking with a baguette” right—he’s apparently willing to once again dabble in the stunt-casting of first ladies. Obviously, of course, this is all just polite, hypothetical chitchat, as not only would Allen actually have to get in a room with Michelle Obama, he’d have to write a black female character that isn’t a maid or prostitute. (You would have to do that, Woody Allen.) [via USA Today]
