Yeah, Idris Elba also thinks that new doll of him looks a lot like Montel Wiliams

We’ve called in the past for a moratorium on pretty much any and all attempts to recreate the human form in sculpture—at best, you get a bad Madame Toussad’s wax figure that people still resolutely try to hump; at worst, you unleash something like Nightmare Lucy into the collective subconscious of the world—and we’ve now received yet another piece of evidence that makes our case for us: This new doll of “Idris Elba” that’s been making the rounds on the internet this month, threatening to, like, blow up hospitals and tie damsels to railroad tracks.

Produced by extremely niche doll-fashion boutique Emperis, the figure in question has been mocked pretty widely by the denizens of the online world already, mostly focused on the fact that it makes “Elba” almost comically bald, and plasters a sadistic sneer over his face, more befitting a guy trying to sell you a payday loan than the heroic Stacker Pentecost.

Now the world’s sexiest man has gotten in on the fun of mocking the world’s most perplexing doll—which apparently costs $1,100, by the way—posting a picture onto his Twitter account that suggests, yes, he knows it looks more like Montel Williams than him. We can only assume that this is going to be a big, big day for the former talk show host/current pitchman for online poker classes, basking in all of his inadvertent comparisons to the world’s most appealing dude.
