Runaways (Hulu, episodes 11–13, season finale): Parents—they just don’t understand, especially when they’re also super evil. That’s a truth that the runaways of Marvel’s Runaways have had to learn over the course of nearly two full seasons. Our own Eric Thurm has spent the last several days guiding viewers through the ins, outs, and insanely detailed hideaways of the Hulu series’ second season, but it’s time for Alex, Nico, Karolina, Gert, Chase, and Molly to pack it in for the season. Today, Thurm will post the final three recaps of season two, so head on over to Hulu, stream that last quarter of the season, then head back here to gush about how much you love Old Lace.

Doctor Who (BBC America, ongoing): What, you want holiday stuff? Fine, we’ve got holiday stuff. Beginning at noon, BBC America will be streaming a whole mess of Doctor Who Christmas episodes, beginning with “The Runaway Bride”—Donna’s (Catherine Tate) introduction—and ending, for today at least, with “The Time Of The Doctor,” which is literally set in a town called Christmas. That said, at 10 a.m., the network will air “Human Nature”/“Family Of Blood,” one of the great two-parters in Who-story. Not seasonal. Just good.
If you prefer your Christmas fare without police boxes that are bigger on the inside, you’ve got options. Enjoy watching animated classics about bookworms falling in love with large animals who are secretly people? Beauty And The Beast (ABC, 8 p.m.) has all that, and a snowball fight. Want to feel all sentimental while also raging against the evil that can spring from greed? Try It’s A Wonderful Life (NBC, 8 p.m.). Just want some pretty music, featuring the stars of Younger and Downton Abbey? Your local public broadcasting station has got Christmas With The Mormon Tabernacle Choir Featuring Sutton Foster And Hugh Bonneville (PBS, 9 p.m.). Have some holly jolly television, and to all a good night.
