Yep, that's Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott standing in their old Murder House
American Horror Story is a series already burdened by excess, so it’s a bit exhausting to hear that the upcoming Apocalypse will fold in characters and plotlines from both Murder House and Coven, not to mention task Sarah Paulson with reprising her roles from both of those seasons in addition to playing an entirely new character. We previously reported that Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton would also be reprising their Murder House characters, who, if you’re wondering, are still trapped in the house with the murders.
Creator Ryan Murphy gave us proof of such on Instagram this weekend, posting a shot of Ben and Vivien Harmon looking very happy and very attractive against some creepy-ass stained glass. “Connie and Dylan. The Harmon’s in their forever AHS home…Murder House,” Murphy wrote, presumably while chuckling ominously in the light of his laptop screen.
As previously noted, Apocalypse is a direct sequel to Murder House, as it will center around the antichrist baby Britton’s character birthed in the season. That baby, which was whisked away by neighbor Jessica Lange at the end of the season, has grown up to be The Assassination of Gianni Versace actor Cody Fern, who we’re truly excited to see raise literal hell—perhaps with his rubber-clad daddy, Tate, as AHS regular Evan Peters is also returning to the series (and playing a hairdresser).
American Horror Story: Apocalypse will premiere on FX on September 12. (H/T Deadline).
