Yes, Tina Fey will play Sarah Palin on SNL tomorrow, okay?

Amidst a season that’s already awash in hilarious recurring characters like “Kristen Wiig As Attention-Seeking Weirdo,” “Dudes Kissing,” and “Fred Armisen Saying Unfunny Things Repeatedly Until They Provoke Nervous Laughter,” Saturday Night Live is preparing to revisit the halcyon days of 2008 with the return of one of its most popular: Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. As Fey herself confirmed to her old Weekend Update co-anchor on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, tomorrow’s episode will find Fey pulling out the accent—and hopefully, the “biker-hot, sweet leather jacket Sarah’s been rocking”—to play the politician-about-whom-we’re-completely-impartial who gave Fey the profile boost that indirectly led to her starring in the new, “thoroughly okay” Date Night in the first place. And naturally, come Monday, you can expect to hear more about Saturday Night Live than you have in the past two years—which puts a lot of undue pressure on next week’s host, Precious star Gabourey Sidibe. Luckily, we hear she does an amazing Alan Greenspan.
