You cannot make this shit up

Hey you alls,

Has anybody been watching "The Daily Show" as of late? They've been having quite the field day, not surprisingly, with the whole big Dick Cheney-Shooting-A-Seventy-Eight-Year-Old-Man-He-Mistook-For-A-Quail thing and the thing that's really striking is that they don't even have to make jokes about it for it to be funny. All they have to do is just keep repeating that the Vice President of the United States shot a seventy-eight year old man in the face he mistook for a quail.

The Bush administration is making life way too fucking easy for satirist. Honestly, Scott McClellan, or Captain Flopsweat as I like to call him, might as well have served this story up on a silver platter for the media. Incidentally what's the deal with McClellan? They replaced Ari Fleischer, a cryptic genius of the spin-doctoring game with a man so pathetic the Bush administration apparently hopes the press will feel so sorry for him they'll refrain from asking tough questions, lest they reduce the big guy to tears. Big, blubbery, inarticulate, sweaty tears. Good Lord, what's next? Is Cheney going to accidentally club his wife to death after mistaking her for a baby seal while on one of his beloved baby-seal-clubbing expeditions? It's getting a little ridiculous.

Speaking of the Daily Show whaddya guys think of their new post-Colbert, post-Carell correspondents? I think they're funny, even Jason Jones, who is far too good looking to be so funny. I'm also digging John Hodgman on the show. He totally makes me laugh with his humorous behavior and comical-style antics.
