Younger gets an early season four renewal
TV Land’s Younger is getting the chance to grow older, with the cable network issuing a renewal notice for the show’s fourth season before its third has even arrived. The series—which stars Sutton Foster as a 40-something single mom pretending to be a 20-something in order to find work in the youth-oriented field of publishing—is safe on the network’s schedule for at least 24 more episodes.
Developed by Sex And The City’s Darren Star, the show co-stars Hilary Duff and Debi Mazar, and is now TV Land’s second-oldest original series, after Cedric The Entertainer’s The Soul Man. (Hot In Cleveland, the network’s flagship original, went off the air last year.)
Besides returning series like Younger, Impastor, and The Jim Gaffigan Show, the network has also announced a number of new shows this year, including one about being friends with Melissa McCarthy—a sitcom, sadly, not an instructional guide—and TV adaptations of The First Wives Club and Heathers.
Younger returns for its third season on Sept. 28.
