You're a CGI-rendered man, Charlie Brown in the Peanuts 3-D teaser

Here’s you first look at the 3-D, CGI update of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, which promises to update the old, familiar story of that little round-headed kid, Charlie Brown, for a new, spherical-headed world. This teaser for the 2015 film, from Ice Age: Continental Drift director Steve Martino, mostly serves to introduce you to the its ultra-detailed animation style, which Martino tells USA Today will give Snoopy the “soft-white fur” and Charlie Brown the fine, photorealistic hair sprigs that will help modern audiences get into them. (These days, two-dimensional objects may as well be traffic signs or tax forms—easily ignored.)

Still, if the animation’s strangely tactile rendering or the trailer’s record-scratch sound effect has you worried Peanuts will mirror other recent CGI updates of old cartoons, both Martino and producer Paul Feig assure “Snoopy will not be rapping, no one will be twerking,” and the spirit of the old Charlie Brown remains. It’s just that this time that spirit will be wearing super-textured jeans.
