Zachary Quinto to star in AMC's NOS4A2 as a vampire who's real into novelty license plates
Nothing in this world announces that you’d like other people to think you’re funny—without actually putting in the hard work of developing a sense of humor—like a good novelty license plate. (It’s like your car is telling a joke, forever!) And we can’t picture a better vehicle for immortal car-based comedy than the vampiric protagonist of Joe Hill’s 2013 novel NOS4A2, a guy who likes to kidnap children in his cool old car, transport them to a place called Christmasland, and suck the life out of them to keep himself alive.
Now, AMC has announced that Zachary Quinto—who broke into TV as the power-sucking breakout bad guy of NBC’s Heroes, before making the move into movies with Star Trek—will play said pun-loving soulsucker. Quinto will star opposite Ashleigh Cummings in the upcoming horror series, which pits the blood drive proponent against a young artist with mystical powers of her own. Jami O’Brien, from Hell On Wheels and Fear The Walking Dead, is set to showrun and executive produce.
