Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke joins Planet Of The Apes sequel, possibly to torture some monkeys

With James Franco likely out of the sequel to Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, thus denying the art world a photo of Lancelot Link with “Fuck Monkeys” spray-painted on it, the Matt Reeves-directed Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes has moved on to finding another actor who can convincingly play a human being. That search appears to have ended on Jason Clarke, with The Hollywood Reporter saying the Zero Dark Thirty breakout will play an unspecified, yet likely human role in the film, which concerns a group of scientists struggling to survive in a world gone ape—a joke that musters only the weakest, most morbid laughs from the scientists, after someone makes it every single morning. Naturally, Clarke’s casting also suggests he’ll be torturing some monkeys, giving us another excuse to post an old sketch comedy clip today. Now someone announce a Chicken Lady movie!
