A Quiet Place's Super Bowl spot turns the volume down a bit

The Super Bowl is an event that is defined by spectacle, with everything being bigger and louder than every other thing, but this trailer for John Krasinski’s sci-fi thriller A Quiet Place offered a nice change of pace from the patriotic songs at the start of the game—at least until that kid set off his very dangerous space toy. The movie is about some sort of supernatural threat that hunts people by sound, requiring the human characters to stay perfectly quiet in order to remain alive, which seems like it’s going to be pretty tough.

A Quiet Place stars Krasinski (who also directed) and Emily Blunt. It’ll be in theaters on April 6.
