Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. return home in an exclusive clip from tonight's midseason premiere

It’s been a tough time for the heroes of Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season. That’s meant literally: Time itself has been tough on them, as all of season five up to now has taken place in a dark future where the entire planet has broken apart, a disaster pinned on SH.I.E.L.D. agent Daisy Johnson (a.k.a. Quake), who was informed her power of manipulating vibrations is to blame. Eventually, Phil Coulson and his team figured out a way back to their own time, but Daisy tried to stay behind in order to prevent the cataclysmic prophecy from coming true. If you know Coulson, you know that wasn’t an option: He knocked Daisy out and brought her with them.

In the exclusive clip below, we see the agents returning home—or at least, that was the plan. So why does it look like the same place they’ve been living in 75 years in the future? Unfortunately, there might be a bigger problem than just where to get the nearest cheeseburger. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns tonight at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
