The new Lego Dimensions game will allow players to act out some of their finest fan fiction— well, the questing kind, anyway (sorry, slash fiction writers). The game offers a chance for Lego Batman to team up with Lego Gandalf, Lego Marge Simpson to compare hair with Wyldstyle (who’s always been Lego), or the Lego Doctor to stammer alongside Lego Doc Brown. And because everything really is awesome, Unikitty will be part of the game as well, voiced once again by Alison Brie.
The latest trailer sees Brie pulled through the Lego gateway (after she’s wrecked part of her dressing room) to become Unikitty, the adorable unicorn-anime-kitten whom everyone likes to see get angry because she’s adorable. We see her join charming forces with Wyldstyle and Emmet again, and wonder what the plural of Batman is. Unikitty is game for more adventures, as long as she can pack some rainbow bricks.
All told, there are 14 “fan-favorite universes” you can meld, but they’re sold separately. Lego Dimensions will be available on PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 4, the Wii U, the Xbox One, and the Xbox 360 on September 27.
