Allison Williams to play another creepy villain in The Perfection

For six seasons, Allison Williams’ Marnie was essentially the villain of HBO’s Girls, and Williams embraced her antagonistic talents for a surprise evil turn in Jordan Peele’s Get Out. Now, it looks like she’s going to get another chance to play a creepy baddie in The Perfection, a new horror-thriller from director Richard Shepard. This comes from Deadline, which says The Perfection is about “two cello prodigies and a sinister obsession.” We don’t really know any specifics, but the movie is apparently very “urgent and relevant” in a way that would be a spoiler to further define. In a statement, Williams says the script is “almost too ambitious” and makes her feel “both eager and trepidatious.”

As for Shepard, he directed Dom Hemingway, The Matador, and a dozen Girls episodes—including the Marnie-centric “The Panic In Central Park.”
