Joining the Lovelace and The Wolf Of Wall Street trailers in reminding us that the decade we live in is incredibly boring, here’s the first look at David O. Russell’s American Hustle, another film about a freer age when the nation spent its days crawling through sexy parties, drumming on the asses of its lady friends. The all-star cast of Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner, and Amy Adams unites to tell the story of the ’70s and ’80s ABSCAM sting operations that brought together con artists, politicians, and grifters of all stripes, leading to multiple arrests and—judging by this Good Morning America-hosted preview—some pretty fun nights at the disco. Say what you will about all the porn industry sleazes, unscrupulous stockbrokers, and rip-off artists of the past: When history retells the story of the ‘10s, you won’t see, say, Edward Snowden slinking around to Zeppelin in a cleavage-baring dress. (Okay, maybe Anthony Weiner.)
