An actual boxer will play Ivan Drago’s son in Creed 2

Before the end of 2017, Creed 2 had found a new director in Steven Caple Jr., and now it looks like MGM and Warner Bros. can print the fight card: Sylvester Stallone has announced that a professional boxer has been cast as Ivan Drago’s son.

As Drago the younger, Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu, a German-Bosnian boxer, could end up stepping into the ring against Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed to recreate the fight that cost Apollo Creed his life in Rocky IV (with different results, we hope). We do know that Munteanu will get some coaching from Dolph Lundgren, who’s returning to the franchise as Drago senior. And Stallone will be in Adonis/Jordan’s corner, along with Tessa Thompson, who’s gone on to play the Valkyrie since making a big impression in Ryan Coogler’s 2015 film.

If you have any doubts about Munteanu and Lundgren being in the same family, check out this video of the former’s ridiculously grueling workouts.
