Anna Kendrick is more powerful than you could possibly imagine in new Star Wars: Battlefront ad
In Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (or simply Star Wars if you’re an old person), there’s an iconic scene where Obi-Wan and Darth Vader are having an energetic lightsaber duel full of cool spins and exciting poses. At one point, Obi-Wan says to Vader, “if you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine,” and—spoiler alert for a massively popular film that came out 38 years ago—eventually Vader does indeed kill Obi-Wan, causing him to vanish and leave behind only a pile of robes. After that, Obi-Wan occasionally shows up as a disembodied voice or blue ghost to help Luke Skywalker when he needs guidance, but the movies never really explain what happened to his body.
Now, though, we finally have a solution to that mystery. As it turns out, when a Jedi is struck down and their body disappears, they’ve actually been transported into the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront video game from EA, coming soon to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. That shocking revelation comes from a new Battlefront trailer, which stars Anna Kendrick as a woman who dies and then finds herself taking part in an actual Star Wars battle.
Luckily, you don’t really have to be struck down in order to play Battlefront, you just have to wait until November 17 to buy your own copy.
