Back In Time

The improbable outgrowth of a video sketch for an '80s-themed bar mitzvah, Back In Time is filmmaker Jason Aron's passion project about the lasting influence of Back To The Future and its sequels on popular culture. Kind of. Yes, it is a documentary about Robert Zemeckis' time travel trilogy, but more specifically it pays homage to the DeLorean at its center. Along with producer Louis Krubich and cinematographer Greg Lassik, Aron raised $45,000 on Kickstarter to tell the story of how that oddly shaped silver car with its gull-wing doors and flickering gadgets took hold of the public imagination, and examine how it remains such an iconic image three decades later. Back In Time is scheduled to premiere at the We're Going Back 30th anniversary event in 2015, which corresponds with Marty McFly and the DeLorean's arrival here in the future.
