Carrie
This first look at the latest adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie is short on actual plot or character reveals, but it hammers home the film's most important theme: Teenage girls are the absolute worst, and they will destroy you and everything you love unless they're all put in jail right now. For the denizens of the devastated town in this brief teaser for Kimberly Peirce's remake, it's already too late, as they describe in voiceover the various factors they believe could have led to their burning ruin—a "conspiracy," something supernatural, religious fanaticism—before both camera and trailer zoom in on the real problem: Chloe Moretz's blood-streaked Carrie, who is, after all, "just a girl." Right. And see where allowing girls to roam free gets you?
