Chvrches releases new single "Get Out," the band's first in 2 years
Chvrches released its well-received second album, Every Open Eye, way back in September of 2015, but now the band has finally returned with its first new music since then—not counting that “Bury It” remix or the track released as part of the 7-Inches For Planned Parenthood benefit compilation. The new song, “Get Out,” doesn’t technically come with a proper album announcement, but Chvrches did tease its eventual third album on Twitter earlier today.
While we wait for that, Chvrches has also shared a video for “Get Out” that features an array of video feeds that seems largely unrelated to each other beyond the recurring image a crossed-out heart—which happens to match the official art for the single. Consequence Of Sound noticed a little secret in the upper left box, though, featuring a cameo from The National’s Matt Berninger and a mysterious phone number.
