Clueless meets Scream in this trailer for Tragedy Girls

Social media popularity is very important these days, and sometimes you’ve gotta do whatever it takes to generate a little heat on your pages. In Tragedy Girls, that means asking for a boost from some cooler person, and when he refuses, you stab him to death and film it. The eponymous Tragedy Girls then become anti-serial killer activists, finally gaining social media popularity by trying to catch the killer—even though they’re the ones who did it. It seems to skew closer to comedy than horror, to the extent that this trailer doesn’t really give any indication about whether or not we should expect the Tragedy Girls to actually pay for their killing spree or if they’ll just keep making quips and (poorly) covering up their brutal murders.

Tragedy Girls will be in theaters on October 20.
