Curb Your Enthusiasm saves a man's life in the trailer for Netflix's Long Shot
People might not recognize the name Juan Catalan, but a lot of people have probably shared his story as a “fun fact” while watching one particular episode of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. In 2003, Catalan was arrested for the murder of a 16-year-old girl, even though he vehemently denied being involved at all and claimed to have been at a baseball game when the murder happened. Catalan had his ticket stub and didn’t match the description of the attacker, but he didn’t get cleared of the murder until he recalled that Curb Your Enthusiasm had been filming a scene at the game. It later turned out that there was footage of him in the background, proving that he couldn’t have committed the murder. As seen in this trailer, Netflix is turning that story into a full documentary film called Long Shot, and while it doesn’t look especially funny (someone did get murdered), it does feature an appearance from Larry David.
Long Shot will premiere on September 29.
