Earwolf is bringing back The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project for a second demented season
Earwolf’s The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project was one of the comedy gems of 2014, as pure a distillation of the Review star’s demented brilliance as you might ever hope to listen to. Featuring eight of the inevitably horrible human beings who live in Daly’s brain, the show presented itself as a series of pilots for different terrible podcasts hosted by his various Comedy Bang Bang characters, featuring comedy stars like Paul F. Tompkins, Jessica St. Clair, Jason Mantzoukas, and Daly’s co-host, Superego’s Matt Gourley.
Daly’s been hinting recently that the show might be coming back soon, and Earwolf made it official today, releasing a trailer episode for TADPPP’s second season. Featuring Comedy Bang Bang’s Scott Aukerman, the episode reveals the roster for the new season, including returning characters—cowboy poet Dalton Wilcox, the utterly loathsome Don DiMello, and a live episode from poor, doomed travel fan August Lindt—and some of Daly’s more recent inventions, including Joe Bongo, Gil & Golly, L. Ron Hubbard, Cameron McGonigle, and good old Cactus Tony.
The show proper debuts next week, on the Stitcher Premium podcasting service. If you don’t want to pay, though, you can either wait until September 1, when it’ll go up for free (or just hack the thing during a trip out into international waters; anything goes out there).
