Exclusive clip: Birdemic 2: The Resurrection

As the nation slowly learned of The Room and its glorious awfulness, word spread of an even worse film: The wooden line-readings, nonsensical plot, preachy message, and hilariously amateur “effects” of  2010’s Birdemic: Shock And Terror made The Room look like Citizen Kane by comparison. Picture Hitchcock’s The Birds with an environmental message and original Nintendo Entertainment System-level special effects, and that’s sort of what Birdemic delivers, except much, much worse than that sounds. Director James Nguyen has reassembled his stars for Birdemic 2: The Resurrection, which transfers to the action, such as it is, to Los Angeles, where Rod (Alan Bagh) and Nathalie (Whitney Moore) meet to help finance a friend’s movie. Eventually, the birdemic kicks in, and judging by the trailer, it’s just as good (?) as its predecessor.

Fans can watch the film via VOD distributor Chill.com for $9.99, and to give you a taste of what’s in store, here’s an exclusive clip of Birdemic 2: The Resurrection. Fans of the first film will remember its hilariously awkward “dance club” scene, and now singer Damien Carter has returned with a new song, “Gonna Be A Star,” for a similarly stilted dance scene. Bonus points to the guy to the robot. Enjoy?
