Final Fantasy XV trailer offers dinosaurs, a sparkly woman, and a really long convertible

At Tokyo Game Show this week, Square Enix unveiled a trailer for the next entry in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XV. Although it opens with a disclaimer that amounts to, “This isn’t the whole game, guys, it’s just a trailer, so relax,” the footage seems to depict a road-trip adventure in which four dudes pile into a ridiculous car and go look at some dinosaurs (or whatever those brontosaurus-looking beasts are). At one point we glimpse a woman, surrounded by sparkles as all women are. And the combat bears a resemblance to the glorious, MMO-like-but-not-too-MMO-like battle system of Final Fantasy XII, but who knows. This is a superficial look at what will undoubtedly be a sprawling work, and that superficiality has the intended effect: The game looks awfully pretty.
