Full Lore trailer claims that real life is the scariest story

This full trailer for Lore, Amazon’s TV adaptation of the hit podcast of the same name, suggests that “the scariest stories are true.” That’s a good tagline, but this trailer also sells that idea pretty well with its selection of clips from dramatic reenactments, which range from fantastical stuff like exorcisms and spooky dolls to more relatable things like icepick lobotomies and old-fashioned electro-shock therapy. Like the podcast, the show will be about historical backstories to scary stuff, and it will combing documentary footage, animation, and “cinematic scenes”—which presumably means those reenactments seen in this trailer.

Lore will premiere on Amazon Prime on October 13.
