After the pilot was reshot and recast earlier this summer, FX has finally given Sons Of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC a series order. According to Deadline, Mayans MC will premiere at some point this year with a 10-episode first season, focusing on a man named EZ Reyes as he works his way into the Mayans motorcycle gang while dealing with the fact that he’s no longer the “golden boy” in his hometown. The show will take place post-Sons Of Anarchy, but beyond the Mayans themselves, it’s unclear how much of a connection it’ll have to the original show.
Mayans comes from Elgin James and original Sons Of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, and it’ll star Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, and Michael Irby.
