Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 (final trailer)
Between the final book in 2007, the first final movie last year, and the trailer for the final final movie back in April, it feels like the Harry Potter franchise has been ending for the last half-decade. (Though maybe not: J.K. Rowling has been teasing a new project called Pottermore, which could be… well, anything, from sequels to prequels to a fan site to, according to some sources, maybe a smart phone? What? We won’t know until next week.) But we’re one step closer to the for-really-real-this-time end of the franchise with the release of the new, and final, trailer for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2.
The new two-and-a-half-minute trailer features a bunch of new footage that wasn’t present in the first preview, and boy is it exciting (once you get past the flashback footage from the first couple of movies). Professor McGonagall commanding an army of Transfigured suits of armor! Molly Weasley kicking ass! Acromantulas and giants and Fiendfyre, oh my! Plus that same puzzling scene from the first trailer where Harry and Voldemort topple together into a giant chasm. Seriously, what is that? We won’t have long to find out: Deathly Hallows Part 2 premières in less than a month, on July 15.
