Here are the winners at the 24th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

Last year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards felt sort of like a turning point in our modern age of celebrities publicly speaking out on political topics, coming right on the heels of President Shithole’s first attempt at a travel ban. This year, with the Time’s Up campaign in full swing and the Women’s March events happening this weekend, the SAG Awards decided to quietly make a statement of its own by having women present all of the awards, creating a casually political vibe that everyone who got on stage seemed refreshingly comfortable with (right down to Morgan Freeman pointing out that the SAG trophy is clearly a specific gender).

As for the actual trophies, William H. Macy took home the award for the best male actor in a comedy TV series, and both Julia Louis-Dreyfus and the whole Veep ensemble added to their already enormous collections of accolades with best female actor in a comedy TV series award and the best comedy series ensemble award (respectively). Sam Rockwell set himself up for some Oscar hopes by following his Golden Globes win with a SAG win, Big Little Lies also added to its already impressive haul of awards, as did This Is Us, and Claire Foy won another trophy for The Crown.

Speaking of Oscar hope, Gary Oldman and Frances McDormand are probably feeling pretty positive about their odds at the Academy Awards after winning for Darkest Hour and Three Billboards tonight.
