It’s been nine months since we last checked in on the dystopic, misogynistic world of Gilead, the setting for Hulu’s Emmy-winning drama series The Handmaid’s Tale. Now, it’s finally time to dip back into the grim world of Offred and her fellow handmaids, as they continue to attempt to survive in—and maybe even escape from—a society that’s given itself fully over to sexualized cruelty. The series will return to Hulu for its second-season premiere next month, on April 25, with Bradley Whitford joining the show in a recurring role alongside current stars like paired Emmy winners Elisabeth Moss and Ann Dowd.
Hulu’s other pickings for April are a little slimmer, though; anyone who’s been pining to catch Adam Sandler’s 2008 Israeli-super-soldier-moves-to-America-to-became-a-hairdresser comedy You Don’t Mess With The Zohan is in luck, at least. Meanwhile, if you’ve never indulged in the cartoon craziness of Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle, or the international assassin/game show host antics of Sam Rockwell’s Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, you’d better make your move; both films depart the service on April 30.
