Horneytown, U.S.A.
As part of the never-ending road trip with your goofball dad that is so much of the Travel Channel’s programming, the network is running Horneytown, U.S.A.—a special dedicated not to the nation’s greatest water park, sadly, but rather towns with silly names, like the titular Horneytown, North Carolina. (Huh huh. “Titular.”) To help document the lives of folks who spend their days trying to maintain their dignity in cities such as Hooker, Oklahoma, the network has hired a man who knows all about handling delicate things of a sexual nature: Fred Willard, who’s spent the past year zipping up any dangling immodesties after his arrest in an adult movie theater, by taking matters into his own hands and unashamedly enjoying the exposure. Willard narrates the Aug. 18 special that guides us through America’s towns—and judging by featured cities Intercourse, Blue Ball, and Virginville, Pennsylvania, makes the argument that Amish people are secretly hilarious—all while Fred Willard and his charming, special little something rub off on it.
