James Woods says he's retiring to focus on his antiquing

After a career that’s spanned TV, film, theater, and, allegedly, a whole bunch of creeped-out teenagers in Los Angeles parking lots, James Woods has announced that he’s retiring from acting. And, because nothing can be straightforward with the famously litigious Videodrome star, he apparently did so via a real estate listing in Rhode Island.

This is according to the Providence Journal, which reports that a real estate agent representing Woods issued a statement today, saying the actor “is retiring from the entertainment industry and hopes to ‘simplify his life’ by selling ‘his many real estate holdings on both coasts.’” Woods is apparently ready to focus on his true passions in life, which include photography, Texas Hold ’Em, and antiquing, and definitely not cocaine. Among the properties he’s selling are an estate in Exeter, RI, which is being listed at $1.4 million.
