Jamie Lee Curtis to put the "fun" back in "funeral home sitcom" at CBS
Jamie Lee Curtis is having a busy couple of weeks; just a few days after announcing that she’d be returning to the Halloween film franchise, Variety reports that the Scream Queens star has signed on for a starring role and executive producing credit on an upcoming CBS sitcom about living in a funeral home.
Titled Quality Of Life, the series will star Curtis as the matriarch of a family-run funeral home, presumably deriving plenty of jokes and the occasional life lesson from the steady flow of corpses through their house. It basically sounds like Six Feet Under: The Sitcom, albeit presumably with fewer brain aneurysms and stolen severed feet.
Curtis is developing the series with Janis Hirsch, whose past credits include ‘Til Death, Will And Grace, and Murphy Brown.
