Jessica Jones tangles with rivals and trauma in season 2 trailer

The first extended look at season two of Marvel’s Jessica Jones begins with its inebriated protagonist (Krysten Ritter) at her usual barstool, but quickly delves into all the trauma and mysteries that lie ahead for our reluctant superhero.

Jessica may have broken Kilgrave’s (David Tennant) hold over her when she ended his life (though both points are kind of up for debate at the moment), but she’s far from free of her tragic past. It’s something she must confront, along with a business rival, a murderer, and the likelihood that she’s not the only one to survive those clandestine experiments. Aware of what her best friend is getting into, Trish (Rachael Taylor) steps up the sidekick game with some serious punches of her own.

Jessica Jones returns to Netflix on March 8.
