John Wick: Chapter 3 will implacably kill its way into theaters in May 2019

Clearly knowing it’s got a good thing on its hands with this whole “Keanu Reeves wears a dapper suit and murders people” motif, Lionsgate has set the release date for the third installment in its stylishly vengeful John Wick franchise. The third John Wick film—which promises to delve deeper into the batshit mythology underpinning Baba Yaga’s endless crusade for dog-based vengeance—has been set for May 17, 2019; so far, it’s the only movie to have landed on that date.

The film will continue the surprisingly profitable collaboration between Reeves and director Chad Stahelski, his former stunt double on the Matrix movies. John Wick: Chapter 3 isn’t the only Wick-related work on the studio’s schedule, either; there’s also a TV project in the works, designed to tap into the history of hotel-for-hitmen chain the Continental, as well as a few other projects the studio has hinted that it might try to shoehorn into a wider WCU (the Wick Cinematic Universe, that is).
