Johnny Galecki says the end of The Big Bang Theory is in sight
Last February, CBS renewed The Big Bang Theory for two additional seasons, with the 11th on now and the 12th airing next year. As unthinkable as it may seem, though, one of the show’s stars thinks it won’t continue at all after that 12th season. This comes from Deadline, which says Johnny Galecki said at TCA yesterday that “everyone’s very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families.” Nothing official has been determined yet, and Galecki also noted that the only talks people have had about the end have been to say how they’re “all going to be very sad when that day comes,” but it sounds like Big Bang fans shouldn’t be too surprised if they’ve only got one more full season with those wacky nerds.
Of course, they also shouldn’t be too surprised if CBS just throws a few more million dollars at the cast and convinces them to stick around a bit longer, but it also has a hot new Big Bang spin-off it can shower with love and money these days.
