Jonah Hill's directorial debut Mid90s has a trailer for all you punk-ass kids

Once upon a time, Jonah Hill was just the guy from Superbad. He’s good in Superbad! But now we are living in a world where Jonah Hill has been nominated for two Oscars, and is the guy from Superbad no more. Your latest instance of Jonah Hill being pretty darned impressive comes courtesy of A24, which is home to Hill’s feature debut as a writer-director, Mid90s. Starring Sunny Sulji (of The Killing Of A Sacred Deer), Katherine Waterston, and Lucas Hedges—who presumably just sleeps in a cupboard under the stairs at A24 HQ so he’s ready whenever they need him, which is often—the film looks to be a coming-of-age tale with a rich, meaty base of skate culture and a little dollop of “fuck you little brother, you punk-ass kid, I will beat your fucking punk ass, stay out of my room.”

In all sincerity, this thing looks great. We’ll find out how great when A24 heelflips Mid90s into theaters on October 19, 2018. There are so many skateboard trick names we can work into our coverage, and boy, are we going to be insufferable.
