Kenya Moore suspended from Real Housewives Of Atlanta
The Bravo star has been "indefinitely suspended" as Bravo investigates allegations that she posted sexually explicit photos of co-star Brittany Eady at an event
Turmoil is nothing especially new in the world of Bravo’s reality TV empire, but it rarely comes with out-and-out consequences; more profitable, typically, to issue a slap on the wrist, and then film the recriminations to follow. So it’s slightly surprising to learn tonight that the network has reportedly issued an indefinite suspension to Real Housewives Of Atlanta cast member Kenya Moore, a veteran member of the series, after allegations that she targeted another cast member for harassment. According to THR, Moore was suspended from the show last week, after she allegedly put up posters of sexually explicit photos of newer cast member Brittany Eady at the opening of Moore’s new salon.
For what it’s worth, Moore denied the allegations against her, posting on Twitter last week, right after the allegations first broke, that “I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images or footage of anyone, nor solicited images owned by others to use to threaten or blackmail.
I have always been vindicated. I can’t talk about STORY even with people planting fake news.” Nevertheless, THR reports tonight that Moore has been suspended from the series as it films its 16th season; according to ET, Bravo has said it’s “still reviewing the content Kenya displayed during filming.” (People, meanwhile, states that the suspension will stay in place until Bravo is done investigating whatever actually happened.)
Moore has been with RHOA since 2012, joining the series for its fifth season, and staying on ever since. (Give or take a guest season in 2018.) She went on Instagram Live earlier this evening to address the controversy, saying, “I’m not going anywhere.”
