Kristen Bell says a Veronica Mars miniseries will happen eventually
Nobody seems to love Veronica Mars as much Veronica Mars herself, Kristen Bell, and she recently shared some hope for the future of her old detective show during a Facebook Live broadcast with her old co-star Ryan Hansen—though only her voice was actually on the Facebook Live video. Hansen was promoting his new YouTube Red show Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes On Television with IndieWire, and after responding to a question about another Veronica Mars revival following the Kickstarted movie, he decided to simply call Bell and see what she had to say.
Bell said that she’s “sort of in constant contact” with series creator Rob Thomas about bringing the show back in some way, and she says “there’s a lot of willingness and commitment to doing it again.” One of the problems with this, though, is that Bell is currently starring on The Good Place and wouldn’t be able to dedicate the time to another whole TV show, but she thinks they could do it “like a miniseries.” The other problem is that none of this is official and that no networks have actually said they want to make any sort of Veronica Mars revival, which is probably a bigger hurdle than making sure the star and creator are on board.
