Louis CK has been fired from The Secret Life Of Pets 2
Variety is reporting that yet another Hollywood studio is distancing itself from comedian Louis CK today, with news coming that Universal Pictures and Illumination have fired him from the upcoming animated sequel The Secret Life Of Pets 2. The decision comes on the same day that CK admitted that allegations of sexual misconduct against him were true, and a day after a New York Times piece about them hit newsstands.
CK starred in the original Secret Life Of Pets as Max, a Jack Russell terrier who has to make his way back to his owner after getting lost. The 2016 film was a solid hit for Universal, making $875 million at the box office on a $75 million budget; it’s not clear what the studio will do to get around CK’s casting, with the sequel still set for a June 2019 release.
