Maleficent

Disney princesses have been all the rage for a while, but with Maleficent, the mouse-led conglomerate turns to its villains. (Next up: Cruella De Vil.) The studio has released the film's first teaser trailer, and while it's jam-packed with special effects and ominous music, it doesn’t give too much away about the actual plot. We do know that Angelina Jolie plays the Sleeping Beauty antagonist who, by several cruel twists of fate, goes from being a loving young woman to a seemingly evil witch. But as it turns out, maybe things in Maleficent’s world aren’t so black and white. Maybe—just maybe—the horned "villain" has a reason to go after Aurora, played here by Elle Fanning, and her whole goody-goody clan. We'll find out July 2, 2014.
