It might not be available in time to fully capitalize on Fury Road fever, but Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max video game looks like it’s almost ready to race out of the development wasteland its been aimlessly wandering for several years. The latest trailer gives viewers a hectic glimpse of Max’s virtual adventure and the post-apocalyptic weirdoes who’ll be causing him hell throughout; this time around, he’s pitted against Scabrous Scrotus, a wasteland warlord and codpiece enthusiast whose goons have stolen Max’s Interceptor and left him for dead. We also get introduced to Chumbucket, the hunchbacked mechanic who’ll be riding shotgun in this open-world quest for vengeance and outfitting Max’s new car, the Magnum Opus. Mad Max is scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 1.
