Mr. Robot renewed for a 4th season of hacking and Back To The Future references
Good news for people who deal with the tense, jittery state of late-modern capitalist oppression by psychologically splintering a part of themselves into a revolutionary alter-ego: USA Network has renewed Mr. Robot for a fourth season.
Variety reports the dark and twisty drama will be coming back next year, a big relief for those who have already committed three years to a series that would be severely hamstrung, narrative-wise, were it forced to bow out after this seasons. Creator Sam Esmail has been very clear from the beginning how long the show would run, recently referring to a recent episode as the “midpoint” in an interview with IndieWire, thereby all but confirming a five-season plan for the series. Besides, it would be a shame to throw away a chance for two more years’ worth of Back To The Future Easter eggs.
