Netflix has ordered ten more episodes of its autism-themed drama Atypical today, with Variety reporting that the show has been granted a second season on the streaming service. The series—which stars Keir Gilchrist and Jennifer Jason Leigh—focuses on the life of 18-year-old Sam Gardner, who attempts to navigate the world of love and dating while also living with autism.
Atypical released its first season last month, to generally positive reviews. Many critics praised Gilchrist for his portrayal of Sam, although there have been voices from the autistic community criticizing the show’s take on their lives.
