New Def Comedy Jam special lines up Dave Chappelle, Martin Lawrence, Tiffany Haddish, and more
It’s been 25 years since Russell Simmons brought his Def Comedy Jam series to HBO, helping launch the careers of Dave Chappelle, Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan, Chris Tucker, Adele Givens, Tiffany Haddish, and so many other influential comedians. And all those vets are teaming up to explore and celebrate the show’s legacy in a new Netflix special. Today the streaming platform announced the lineup for Def Comedy Jam 25, an event full of incisive, raucous comedy that debuts later this year. Chappelle, Morgan, Lawrence, Haddish, and Givens will be joined by fellow Def Comedy Jam alums Bill Bellamy, Cedric The Entertainer, Mike Epps, Eddie Griffin, Kevin Hart, D.L. Hughley, Kid Capri, Craig Robinson, J.B. Smoove, Sommore, Steve Harvey, Joe Torry, Sheryl Underwood, and Katt Williams. Simmons is executive producing along with Stan Lathan, Sandy Wernick, and Jesse Collins. Look for it this fall.
